YOUR ASSISTANT, IN YOUR WORKFLOW
Plan, draft and approve posts with an assistant you already use. Connect it in a minute, choose exactly what it may do, and keep the final say.
Social Studio works with Claude, ChatGPT and other assistants that support MCP, the open standard assistants use to work with apps. You describe the task; the assistant reads your brands, prepares drafts, and records your approval of the exact version you confirm. Publishing happens in Social Studio, where you review it.
No download needed. Your assistant connects to this address and asks you to sign in to Social Studio and approve access:
https://socialstudio.tools/mcp
On claude.ai or the Claude apps, open Settings → Connectors, choose Add custom connector, paste the address and select Connect.
Where your plan offers custom connectors, open Settings → Apps & Connectors, add a connector with the address above, then connect and approve.
Add it as a remote (HTTP) MCP server. In Claude Code: claude mcp add --transport http social-studio https://socialstudio.tools/mcp
Use Social Studio to list my brands and explain what my current access allows. Do not change anything.
Menu names vary between assistant versions and plans.
Access covers all brands in the selected workspace, not just the brand currently on screen. Name the brand in each request. Each workspace’s brands and agent keys share its plan allowance.
Connections and keys last up to 30 days. Revoke them in Agent access to stop further use immediately.
Publishing, connecting social accounts, uploading media, and managing billing and teams remain actions you take in Social Studio.
Content your assistant reads is available to the AI service you choose, whose data policies also apply. Agent access is included on every plan, and each assistant request counts toward your plan’s agent/API allowance.
These are example requests and expected behavior, not records of completed work. Replace the sample brand and filenames with your own.
READ ONLY
Use Social Studio to show drafts that need review for Northside Coffee. Summarize the caption and planned destinations without changing anything.
Expected result: A summary of matching saved drafts, with missing details called out.
READ AND EDIT DRAFTS
Create a Facebook text draft for Northside Coffee announcing Saturday’s tasting, 10 am to noon. Keep the caption friendly and under 60 words. Save it for review.
Expected result: A saved draft and its version for you to inspect. Nothing is published.
READ AND EDIT DRAFTS
For Northside Coffee, make a carousel draft from the three storefront photos in my library, storefront first. Show me the saved version.
Expected result: A draft with library media attached in that order. The first image is the cover. A draft format does not guarantee live publishing support.
DRAFTS AND APPROVALS
I approve version 3 of the Saturday tasting post you just showed me, with that caption and media order. Record my approval.
Expected result: Approval is recorded only if that exact version is still current. You then publish it from Social Studio.
The original private-alpha plugin runs on your own computer with an access key you create in Agent access. It adds uploading local files you authorize. Most people should use the connection above instead.
From a clone of the Social Studio repository run codex plugin marketplace add . then codex plugin add social-studio@social-studio-alpha. Install dependencies with python -m pip install -r requirements.txt in the plugin directory, then run python tools/configure_plugin.py to store your app address (https://socialstudio.tools) and key privately.
Run /plugin marketplace add /absolute/path/to/social-studio, then /plugin install social-studio@social-studio-alpha, and configure the address and key privately as above.
In Settings, open Extensions, then Advanced settings and Install Extension. Select the supplied .mcpb file and enter your Python executable, Social Studio address and agent key.
Never paste an access key into a chat. Keep credentials out of source control and shared configuration.
https://socialstudio.tools/mcp, then connect again and approve access. Only workspace owners can connect an assistant. If an action times out, ask the assistant to check whether it completed before retrying. For help connecting, open Support chat in your workspace.
Social Studio is operated by Alexander Dangler. For help signing in, connecting an assistant, using drafts and approvals, or managing your subscription, email Stonefletcherofficial@gmail.com. You can also use Support chat inside your signed-in workspace.
Include the assistant you use, what you were trying to do, and the error message. Do not send passwords, access tokens, recovery codes or identity documents. For account and workspace deletion, follow the data-deletion instructions.
Connect your assistant, choose a brand, and review the result together.
